Cascade Range Forest Reserve, circa 1924.

Cascade Range Forest Reserve is the title of a typescript signed article by W. G. Steel, in which he recollects lobbying actions taken in 1897 relating to the protection of the Cascade Range Forest Reserve (later known as the Cascade National Forest and part of the present Willamette National Forest). The manuscript includes a note in pencil on the first leaf: "Submitted with Steel's letter of 12-31-24. Our reply, P Supervision, 1-5-25, ENO," as well as some corrections in pencil throughout. It is not clear whether or not this text was ever published.
